She has come a long way in her career and recently she received praise for her performance in Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor starrer Brahmāstra. Over the years, Mouni has undergone a drastic transformation in terms of beauty as well as fashion. An old video of Mouni from her initial days of acting has gone viral on social media and it has invited a sharp criticism.
In the clip, the Gold actress was seen talking about her sanskar and puja routine. She stated everyone in her family prays to all gods and that they do puja every morning and evening. Mouni also mentioned that her mother had taught her to chant 'Om Ganpataya namah ‘twelve times before going to sleep. The actress looked simple yet elegant in an orange-hued suit and blue dupatta. Mouni looked unrecognizable and this old video only proved she has indeed worked on herself a lot to enhance her beauty. The video of the same has spread like wildfire on the internet with netizens accusing the actress of undergoing plastic surgery. Many noticed a wide gap in her teeth saying she has gone under the knife to look beautiful.
Reacting to the video, one Insta user commented, “This kinda video shows that we don't have a single heroine who is naturally pretty/toned.” Another said, “Iske dant dekho yaar.” A third user wrote, “Surgery queen.” One of the comments can be read, “Surgery ka kamal hai.”
Meanwhile, Mouni Roy made her Bollywood debut with Akshay Kumar starrer Gold in 2018. Last year, Roy received critical acclaim for her brilliant performance as Junoon in Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva. She might reprise her role in the sequel, which is currently in the pre-production stage.
